HDFC bank is going to lower interest rates up to 150 basis points on vehicle loans from last week of January .The news of cutting in the interest rate came in the aftermath of the announcements of interest rate cuts by many big banks of this sector.
According to HDFC bank passenger car loans and commercial vehicle loans will be cheaper by 125 basis points .This news came as a booster for auto industry which was feeling heat of recession .Car sales gone down after the economic crisis in US and many other countries. BMW to launch 5 series GT at Delhi Auto Expo

BMW to launch 5 series GT at Delhi Auto ExpoThe German auto maker BMW is all set to unveil its new vehicle 5 series Gran Turismo (GT) at the forthcoming Auto Expo 2010. The company intends to launch this vehicle in both petrol and diesel engine this year. Initially, only 100 units of the vehicle will be available for sale in India. The unique features of the class one vehicle are: enough space, estate like exteriors and body, better ground clearance. The vehicle will be equipped with 400 bhp,twin-turbo direct injected 4.4 litre V8 550i GT.

In addition to this, the German company is likely to showcase BMW X6 M (a SUV), A 760i car, BMW 3 series models and BMW 5 series products. The auto major will also display its small SUV for the affluent class in India. The compact SUV is named as BMW X1 and is going to be pitted against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Captiva and Honda SUVs. The small SUV might be priced around Rs 25-30 lakh. The SUV will be powered by a 6.0 litre, V12 engine.

Audi A7 to be displayed at Auto Expo 2010Audi, German auto manufacturer, is believed to display a new car model Audi A7 at up-coming Delhi Auto Expo. This model was introduced at America Auto Expo in 2009 for the first time and it would take another one year to launch in India. The Audi A7 looks like the Mercedes-Benz CLS which comes loaded with a powerful engine and low-roofline. The company may showcase Audi R8 and other models. In the same event, the company's new logo will also be launched. Apart from the Audi cars, there would be other international car models from different global auto makers which include Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Toyota, Honda, General Motors etc. According to event organisers, around 25 countries are taking part in the show.
